Korean Skincare News Wrap-up: Feb. 2 – 8, 2025
Korean Beauty Giant Olive Young Officially Established in the USA

You’d be hard-pressed to find a beauty-lover in Korea, or anyone for that matter, who has not heard of Olive Young. Rather, you’d likely find that most of them are frequent visitors to Olive Young’s local stores and online mall. Now American beauties – and those with logistic access to the local market, can enjoy the same convenience of K-beauty shopping made easy. On February 4, 2025 the company announced ‘Olive Young USA,’ a new local corporation headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
Once completed, Olive Young USA will be the company’s first brick and mortar store outside Korea. Until then, the Olive Young Global Mall offers worldwide access to all things K-beauty, providing shipping services to over 60 countries and serving over 3 million visitors each year.12
Established first in Gangnam, Seoul in 1999, Olive Young was the first health and beauty store in South Korea.3 Today, the company is an industry leader that boasts over 1,400 locations nationwide.1 Already recognized as one of the largest online beauty malls, Olive Young moves to increase its physical presence in the international market – running with its mission to become the global leader in beauty trends.
New Products!
Dual Repair Lift Cream Mask by Amorepacific (AP)
AP Beauty just dropped their new ‘Dual Repair Lift Cream Mask,’ packed with three times more active ingredients than the ‘Dual Repair Lift Cream’ that their customers love.
This mask is claimed to be a game-changer for overnight skincare, thanks to its unique ingredients: PDRN and EXOYNE. PDRN helps your skin recover from the surface down to the deeper layers, and EXOYNE boosts elasticity by a whopping 34% more than typical peptides.

Finally, the Infusing Shield TM tech in the mask ensures it sticks well and keeps your skin super moisturized for better ingredient absorption. AP recommends pairing the cream mask with their ‘Dual Repair Lift Cream’ for an extra skincare boost!
This product is the final step in your AP skincare routine. You can snag it at AP Beauty counters, online department stores, and the Amore Official Online Store.4 To date, this product is not yet available in the AMOREPACIFIC Amazon storefront.
BORYEONG MUD+ Store Now on Amazon
What’s mud got to do with it?

Just a few weeks before the 28th Boryeong Mud Festival, the host city of the eponymous event launched its online store in the U.S.5 Although this K-beauty brand is new to the western market, it has been around since the early 90s, when mud cosmetics was introduced as a way to stimulate Boryeong’s local economy.
Since then, the brand continued to attract attention and was even awarded the grand prize in the Korea National Business Competition of 1995. By the end of the decade, Boryeong had developed eight different cosmetic products.
By 1998, the Boryeong Mud Festival was created as a marketing strategy to attract tourists to the city. It is recognized as a national festival and — arguably, the best in all of South Korea. Certainly, Boryeong’s Mud Festival has global reach, and now its cosmetics do too.6

BORYEONG MUD+ cosmetics promise to regenerate skin and improve blood circulation, among other things.7 Jeonmae News confirms that the beauty brand currently has three products available on Amazon US: the moisture cleansing foam, essence mask, and hair essence.8
